I would like:
- more power in smaller packages.
- LED continuous lighting (when needed).
- wireless control (not CLS or IR) of power from camera.

I think I'm going to design my dream flash-2nd attempt.

Because the weight at the front of the unit would likely break the plastic body or the front mount system. This is why expensive systems use good, solid metals instead. But the market for this device needs it to be light, small and portable - a compromise has to be made.

I bought a set (1 trans. 3 rec.) last Sept. and have been very pleased with their operation. I have no problems controlling three groups from the back of my 40D and really like the HHS capability. I am going to get two more rec..

I ordered my Pixel Kings from "the photo gadget" last Sept. One trans. and three rec. I have been using them to shoot motocross and other sports and really love being able to control three groups from the back of my 40D. Everything has been working perfectly, I really like the HHS capability.

Hey guys,

I'm totally new to these kind of flash systems ( have been use strobist gear for over 3 years now).

Can someone explain me why i can't use modifiers bigger then 1.50 meters?
And what kind of modifiers can this system take then?

I know it's quite old thread, but may I ask which LP stand will be able to hold flash on LP621 with counterweight? Will the 8ft LP606 stand be stable/sturdy enough for it?

I would really appreciate seeing a roundup of wireless-remote-control studio flash units. This is a feature I really want in my next flash system (especially after I nearly fell off a chair recently while trying to adjust a rim light!) and the information available is rather spotty.

The chart in this article is a good starting point, but a more comprehensive overview would be great. (For example, the chart omits the Paul C. Buff Einstein, which is one of the more popular remote-capable units in the US, and it also omits the lights sold by JTL, which use infrared rather than RF remote control, but are still remote-adjustable.)

Thanks for considering this idea...
