Viltrox ring flash and manual speedlight announced
Hong Kong electronics manufacturer JYC have launched a new photographic accessory brand, Viltrox, which is making its debut with two macro ring lights and a manual speedlight.
Viltrox JY-670 Ring Flash

Similar in some ways to the Godox FC100 ring light, the JY-670 offers both continuous and flash lighting for macro and close-up photography. The specifications claim each light panel can be rotated 80° in either direction. Preliminary product shots suggest that the left-right ratio can be set at anything from 8:1 to 1:8 with overall power reducible to 1/128, however we’re not certain on this.
Fitting on to the end of your lens’ filter mount, a range of adapters are included. The JY-670 is expected to retail at a mere fraction of the price of the Canon MR-14EX, which offers TTL functions.
Viltrox JY-675 Macro Cool Light

Similar in appearance to the JY-670, the Viltrox JY-675 is a more basic, continuous ring light with LEDs and no flash. JYC claims it will run continuously for up to three hours on one set of AA batteries.
Viltrox JY-680 Speedlite

The Viltrox JY-680 is a speedlight with a tilting, swivelling head, diffuser panel, bounce card, locking metal hotshoe foot, ready beep and manually selectable electronic zoom. Two slave modes, an external battery socket and a Prontor/Compur synchronisation port set the JY-680 to compete with rival off-camera flashes such as the Yongnuo YN-560.
The high voltage input will accept Canon-type cords. Price and international release date have not yet been announced.

Still waiting for even more powerful version of YN 560 – I would like 6 AA batteries and twice higher GN. Thanks for posting.
Aside from the locking hotshoe and the panel display, the JY-680 looks absolutely identical to the Yongnuo YN-560. I wonder if Yongnuo and Viltrox are connected in some way, or if they buy parts from the same supplier.
The similarities are indeed striking. On JYC’s web site they list some Yongnuo gear, so there is at least some connection between the companies.
Thanks for the post. Does that mean the ring flash will work with the YN 560 I just purchased?
How do you mean?
where can i buy the jy 680 ?
Just received my Viltrox JY-670
It worked for 5 minutes and all the buttons stopped working properly after 2 flashes. This flash is really bad, would not recommend it to anyone.
what about the shutter speed sync ?
is it supports high speed sync 1/800, 1/5000 ?
or its just like all regular ones 1/200~250 ?
Thanks.
