Bowens adds ‘affordable’ flash heads for Creo system

Bowens has announced a range of new special effects flash heads for the Creo generator system.

Bowens Creo Light Stick

British studio lighting maker Bowens has announced a range of new flash heads for the Creo generator system. The “affordable” heads include two stick lights, a fresnel spot and two striplights, to complement the existing S-fit multi-purpose head.

Robert Cook, the marketing director at Bowens, said in a press release: “These innovative, precision-engineered and high-spec accessories offer supreme quality and will provide fashion and commercial photographers – and even automotive photographers – with a wide range of creative lighting opportunities using our Creo high performance power packs. And as always, we’ve ensured they remain commonsense purchase propositions in terms of price.”

With the heads starting at £900 plus VAT (for the LS light sticks) and going up to just short of £3000 (for the FS250 fresnel), it is a stark reminder of how subjective the term “affordable” can be. A bit dearer than a couple of Yongnuos gaffered together, but you professionals know who you are…
