CheetahStand, the American photographic lighting equipment supplier, has released a series of orange-coloured flash tubes for use with the CheetahLight (Godox Witstro) flash system.
The custom-made bulbs work like a full colour temperature straw (CTS) colour-correction gel, helping you balance your flash with ambient light sources, or give portraits a warmer look. It achieves this by reducing the effective colour temperature from daylight-balanced to something more like tungsten-balanced.
Using these bulbs, it might be possible to make a fully bi-colour flash setup. Simply put one CTS bulb and one regular daylight bulb into a Godox AD-B2 flash bracket with two AD200s, and then you can adjust the ratios of the two colours by adjusting their relative power levels.
Exclusive to CheetahStand, the CTS flash tubes are available now. They come with protective caps to keep the bulbs safe when not installed on the flash.
- CL-360 CTS flash tube — for CheetahLight CL-360/X (Godox AD360/II) — $99.95
- CL-200X CTS flash tube — for CheetahLight CL-200X (Godox AD200) — $68
