Elemental have updated their affordable Trinity Nano series studio flash to add support for an external battery pack, the Nano Power Bank. The Trinity Nano 300B is now an AC/DC monolight, with the option of mains electricity or mobile power.
The Elemental Trinity Nano is a Bowens S-mount studio head with 300Ws of flash energy, a 75W modelling lamp and six stops of manual power control. It recycles in one second on mains power or in up to three seconds running on the battery.
The Nano Power Bank contains a removable 3600mAh NiMH battery pack, which according to Elemental provides over 400 full-power flashes on a single charge. It weighs 1.5kg including the battery and measures 16cm x 7cm x 21cm. You can charge it up in four hours using a 100–240V mains charger or 12V DC input.
The studio flashes cost £125 each and you can add a battery for £180. Studio kits start at £349. Visit the Elemental web site for more information.
