Elinchrom releases new mobile app for iOS

Latest app makes it easier to control a studio of Elinchrom lights from an iPhone or iPad.

Elinchrom app

Elinchrom, the Swiss lighting manufacturer, has unveiled a new mobile app for iPhones and iPads. The application makes it easier to set up Elinchrom lights that work on the Skyport wireless triggering system.

Elinchrom lights don’t actually have Bluetooth, so communication between phones and lights is accomplished by means of the Elinchrom Bridge, which relays signals to and fro รขโ‚ฌโ€ similar to Aputure’s Sidus Link Bridge product.

Compatible Elinchrom flashes and LEDs include:

  • D-Lite RX One/2/4
  • BRX 250/500
  • ELC 125/500
  • ELC Pro HD 500/1000
  • ELB 400
  • ELB 500 TTL
  • ELB 1200
  • ELM8

Features include the ability to control power levels and modelling lamp settings of up to 20 lights at once, in 4 groups that can be colour-coordinated and given ‘friendly names’. Group assignment is via a drag and drop interface and it’s possible to save settings to recall later.
