Falcon Eyes LM-7300HA

Struggling to get your flashes high enough to illuminate your scene? Falcon Eyes has introduced a new heavy duty light stand that extends to a lofty 7.3 metres (24 feet) tall. The LM-7300HA is marketed for events photography and “photographing tall objects”, holding your lights at heights farther than even the lankiest voice-activated light stands (VALs) can reach.

The whole stand is relatively lightweight, at just 5.5 kilograms, and has a 160 cm footprint. Even at minimum extension the stand is 180cm (nearly six feet) tall, so you might want a step ladder to make fine adjustments. There is air cushioning in the columns to protect your precious equipment.

Update: Lovinpix, a French retailer, has posted a video demonstrating the new light stand here.
