Lightpix Labs has launched an exclusive offer for Lighting Rumours readers this month. Until 30 June, spend over US$39 on FlashQ wireless triggers and get 20% off, plus FREE international shipping, with our special discount code.
The FlashQ is tagged “the little cube for flash photography”. It is an ultra-compact, cheap wireless flash trigger aimed at users of smaller mirrorless and compact cameras — or any photographer who wants to use off-camera flash without too much complexity, bulk and weight. It raised 250% of its funding target when first launched on Indiegogo.
Though not feature-packed or boasting incredible specs, the FlashQ provides the stripped-down essentials for off-camera flash photography. Inside the minuscule device is a 2.4GHz radio, giving you quick and convenient wireless triggering. It supports manual sync of shoe-mount flashes and studio lights at ranges up to 10 metres. As it is all-manual, it works with any brand that supports centre-pin flash triggering.
The transmitters and receivers are reasonably trendy-looking as well as functional — available in pink, blue, black or white. Each module runs on a CR2032 watch battery, offering a standby time of six months. There are 160 channels, with automatic channel selection to avoid interference.
A basic FlashQ transmitter-receiver kit is $39. Spend at least this much at Lightpixlabs.com, entering coupon code FLASHQ2015 at checkout and you will get 20% off, plus free worldwide shipping. We don’t get any sort of kick-back for this deal, so you’re welcome!
Offer ends 30 June 2015.
