Photojojo has announced availability of the Foldio 2, a 15-inch (38cm) tabletop light tent for product and macro photography, featuring built-in LED lighting so you can start shooting in seconds.
Foldio 2 is larger than the original Foldio, which measured 10 inches (26cm) in each dimension. The latest version adds an extra row of LEDs, which now have dimming capability, and is powered from the mains rather than a battery.
Because it uses continuous LED lighting and folds flat, it is well-suited for non-professional photographers who might want to shoot using a simple camera or phone, then pack away the studio when it’s not in use. Photojojo says: “It is easy to switch out the included black, white and gray backdrops for impeccable pics of food, craft projects, or your pet hamster, Carl.”
Foldio 2 originated from a Kickstarter project at the start of the year that raised a cool $541,991 — over ten times the company’s $50k target.
