The Godox Witstro AD200 is a portable hybrid flash with interchangeable heads, one ‘bare-bulb’ and one ‘speedlight’. Now, the company has added another option: the new AD-L, a modular LED head for the AD200 system.
While the AD200’s speedlight-style head does have an LED modelling lamp inside it, the AD-L is more powerful, with more diodes—60 of them to be precise. This gives a wider light spread and more intense output, when you want a dedicated continuous lamp for stills or video shooting. The disadvantage, of course, is you need to change back to one of the other heads if you want to use flash again.
According to manufacturer specifications, the Godox AD-L draws 3.6 watts and 9 volts. It’s available now for $25รขโฌโ30 under the Godox Witstro and Flashpoint eVolv brands.
- Godox AD-L LED head – $24.50 – Amazon, B&H Photo, eBay
- Flashpoint eVolv 200 LED head – $24.50 – Adorama
