Hähnel of Ireland have developed the Tuff TTL to be a robust, simple flash trigger allowing photographers to use their flashguns off-camera (up to 200m away) in automatic mode. The company were kind enough to send us a sample set to evaluate.
The Tuff TTL, announced earlier this year, is only the second flash trigger to come from Hähnel after the Combi TF
. Companies such as Pixel and PocketWizard therefore have a head start with many of their products already on the market. Can Hähnel catch up? Will their first flash trigger have bugs and missing features to be fixed in successive firmware updates, or have they produced something that works perfectly out of the factory gates?
