German lighting manufacturer Hensel has introduced its first sub-$1000 lighting kit to the US market.
The Schönes Licht (Beautiful Light) bundle includes two Hensel Integra Mini flash heads, reflectors, reflective umbrellas, light stands and a wheeled case, radio triggers and a wheeled case, all for $999.50, which as the company points out is “less than the cost of about 2 decent Canon or Nikon speedlights”.
Hensel USA’s director Mark Astmann said: “Schönes Licht is the perfect starter portraiture kit including umbrellas which provide smooth soft light and reflectors which help sculpt and focus the light. Hundreds of different portraiture looks can be achieved with the four modifiers included in this kit.â€
In case you’re not familiar with the Hensel Integra Minis, they are 300J monolights with 300W modelling lamps, a six-stop power adjustment range (down to 9.5J) and recycle times up to five flashes per second. They use Hensel’s EH accessory mount.
The Hensel Schönes Licht kit is available now from Adorama and B&H Photo.
