Hensel has announced a mounting bracket that enables the use of studio accessories with small flashguns. The Hensel Speedlight Adapter has an EH mounting ring and an umbrella holder and supports “popular speedlights” with or without radio triggers attached.

Photographers can combine existing Hensel light modifiers such as reflectors, umbrellas, snoots and beauty dishes with portable shoe-mount flashguns. You might even be able to try your hand at fitting a bare-bulb-style flash. By adding a speedring, you can use full-size softboxes too. The tilting bracket, which fits on a light stand, has a metal coldshoe on a sliding rail that folds away for transport and storage.

The company said: “This product is also developed and produced in Germany, and thus of first-class quality and high sturdiness, even for heavy duty demands.”

The Hensel Speedlight Adapter will be available in the UK from Linhof Studio for £129. For more information, visit the manufacturer’s product page, or visit them at Photokina in Hall 4, stand I006.
