Yongnuo’s second high speed sync (HSS) enabled camera flashgun, the Speedlite YN500EX, is now available to buy. Currently only the Canon version is available but the Nikon model is expected to come later. The unit is priced around US$140–150, making it slightly cheaper than its bigger brother the YN568EX.
Both devices give you through-the-lens (E-TTL) exposure metering, optical wireless slave capabilities for Canon Wireless / Nikon AWL systems and full manual control. The YN568EX is slightly more powerful and has different connectors.
The Yongnuo YN500EX is available from sellers on eBay, priced around $145–$150.
