Latest batch of YN-565EX for Canon will “reduce failures”

Yongnuo have improved the quality of electronics in the latest batch of Speedlites YN-565EX for Canon. The changes will apparently improve reliability in the units.

According to online retailer ThePhotoGadget, Yongnuo have improved the reliability of electronics in the latest batch of Speedlites YN-565EX for Canon. This is to “raise quality and reduce failures such as capacitor problems that many users experienced”.

The improved models (which have the same name and cosmetic appearance) supersede the original build and are due to go on sale from tomorrow, Tuesday 15th May 2012. Note that the YN-565EX for Nikon did not experience the same problems and has therefore not been changed.

You can purchase the YN-565EX for Canon from ThePhotoGadget, Yongnuo’s official store and other online resellers. The current retail price is approximately US$150-160 including international postage. In France, Lovinpix sells the YN-565EX for €169.
