Lencarta Mach 1N transceiver

British studio gear firm Lencarta have released a new video showcasing the features and specifications of their new Mach 1N high speed flash trigger. According to the company, the device allows lights to synchronise with Nikon cameras at shutter speeds up to 1/8000 second, to “beat ambient by up to 5 f/stops… and turn day into night”.

The video is embedded below, complete with behind-the-scenes footage of photo shoots, dramatic music and more fake lens flares than you could ever need.

At the time of writing, the Mach 1N is available to buy now from the Lencarta web site for £99.99 per transceiver. A Canon version — we expect to be named the Mach 1C — should be coming in the future but no release date has been set.

When the trigger was first announced, Lencarta’s claims were met with a considerable level of skepticism. What do you think of this product? Let us know in the comments.
