Canadian Rime Lite distributor Lightrein have announced the introduction of three monolights under the Lightrein brand. The new Lightrein LR4A, LR7DR and LR12DR are based on the Rime Lite Fame 4, XB Prime 7 and XB Prime 12 respectively.
In addition to the 2.4 GHz full wireless control and consistent colour temperature, the LR7/12DR series could also even be used for video applications with their powerful 650W modelling lamps. Could this new system pose a threat to Paul C. Buff and Elinchrom market share? For now they only sell in Canada, but are hoping to have a partnership for USA sales “in the future”.
