Ultra compact Lume Cube T60 light stand folds into a tube

The Lume Cube T60 is compact and lightweight, but it's a low stand at a high price.

Lume Cube T60 light stand

LED company Lume Cube has announced its first light stand, called the T60.

Designed for the photographer or videographer on the go, it folds down extremely neatly, with the legs effectively merging with the main column and the stand only 14″ (36cm) long collapsed. It’s a featherweight, too, tipping the scales at 20 oz (560 grams), even with the integrated tilting head.

But compactness comes at a price: the maximum height is only 5 feet (1.5m), ultimately limiting its versatility as a light stand. It’s also relatively expensive, at $79.95. Nevertheless it could be handy for holding a ring lights, microphone or small camera.
