Metz Mecablitz 44 AF-1 flashgun now available for Samsung NX

German manufacturer Metz has released a new variant of their Mecablitz 44 AF-1 flash for Samsung NX-series compact system cameras.

Metz, the German flashgun manufacturer, has released a new variant of their Mecablitz 44 AF-1 for Samsung NX-series compact system cameras. The TTL flash unit has already been available since December 2010 for other camera brands, such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, Four Thirds and Pentax. The most recent model adds support for Samsung’s Wi-Fi enabled snappers such as the NX300, NX20 and NX1100.

The Mecablitz 44 AF-1 is a speedlight with guide number of 44 (Iso 100, 105mm), recycle time of 0.1–3 seconds and 24–105mm power zoom flash head. The device offers through-the-lens (TTL) exposure control for compatible cameras (dependent on model) as well as user-selectable 1/1, 1/2, 1/8 and 1/64 manual power levels.
