Nissin Air Commander 1

Kenro has announced that the Nissin Air flash system, for Canon and Nikon, is now on sale in the UK, priced from £240. The Sony version will be available in May.

The 2.4GHz wireless Nissin Air System (NAS) comprises the Nissin Di700A Air flashgun and the Nissin Commander Air 1 transmitter. The Di700A is an all-rounder TTL and manual flash with a simple “idiot light” display and built-in radio allowing it to be triggered and remotely adjusted from the Commander Air 1, a module that sits on your camera hotshoe.

The Commander can handle up to three independent groups of flashes. At the moment there are no other flashes for the Nissin Air system, but a universal receiver (for any hotshoe flashgun) is in the works.
