Phottix of China has published a possible teaser for a new photography product.

“What’s the +?” reads the Chinese manufacturer’s blog post, which is illustrated with a giant plus sign but furnishes readers with no extra details. The web site’s side bar shows a countdown to 5am on 3 October 2013, Hong Kong time (9pm on 2 October GMT), entitled “+ is coming”.

It is unclear whether this will be the start of a marketing campaign for a new product, or something altogether less exciting like a revamp of the company’s Google+ page. Phottix is known for producing a range of photographic lighting accessories including triggers, flashes and studio gear.

What do you think it might be? Are you interested or nonplussed?
