PocketWizard, the American radio trigger manufacturer, have released firmware version 6.200 for their ControlTL system. The update allows the company’s FlexTT5 and MiniTT1 wireless E-TTL triggers to work with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III.

Dave Schmidt, vice president at PocketWizard, stated, “Our engineers worked tirelessly to make this update available to our customers that use the Canon 5D Mark III camera. Our goal is to provide photographers with frequent important upgrades such as this because it allows owners of PocketWizard radios to stay current as new cameras and flash units are introduced.”

The ControlTL radio system allows photographers to use Canon Speedlites in E-TTL mode off-camera and control their settings remotely. With various adapters a photographer can also wirelessly adjust certain brands of studio lights.

Canon’s other flagship DSLR, the EOS-1D X, is not yet compatible, but the company say they are working on it. You can download firmware v6.200 from the PocketWizard web site.
