It is now possible to pre-order the Profoto Air Remote TTL-N, a radio module giving Nikon i-TTL support to the B1 AirTTL 500 location flash. Adorama has listed the trigger for $395, with a slated 15 September release date. Beta testing is underway in the meantime.

Profoto Air Remote TTL-C

The Profoto B1 is a battery-powered monolight with TTL support. With the Air Remote you can send camera information between your DSLR and the flash for automatic exposure control. It will also allow adjustment of power levels in manual mode if that’s your preference. The B1 can take the same light modifiers as normal studio heads.

Support for Auto-FP Sync (aka HSS) is planned for the future.

Pre-order from Adorama here. The trigger is most useful if you actually have a B1, which will set you back a further $2,000. Will you get one?
