Personally, I don’t take special care of my flash triggers—just throwing them in my camera bag—and have not broken one yet. I don’t know whether or not this particular model has a reputation for being fragile and needing extra protection from an aftermarket accessory. But if you’ve already paid $429 for a radio transmitter, maybe better safe than sorry?
