“On November 6, we’ll introduce a new kind of flash, unlike any we have ever done before,” says Profoto. “It’s too early to reveal what it is, but we can say this much: it’s not a flash pack and it’s not a monolight.”
Details are scarce so far, but on Wednesday 6th November the Swedish lighting manufacturer is set to unveil its latest photography light. They also supplied this teaser pic, which reveals at least a digital display and battery level indicator.

Update 5/11/13: It appears that the reveal has been brought forward to 5th November (today) for newsletter subscribers. Profoto has also supplied another teaser pic, this time showing a radio transmitter in “TTL” mode and what seems to be FEC control for three groups.
