RadioPopper have issued a firmware update for their PX infrared/radio relay system. The patch makes the triggers compatible with the Canon EOS-1D X digital SLR camera and Nissin Di866 Mark II speedlight (both Nikon and Canon variants).
For the uninitiated, the RadioPopper PX System is a photographic flash triggering system that takes in infrared signals from a Nikon or Canon commander unit, converts them to radio, transmits them over a long distance and then converts them back again for a remote speedlight to receive.
The solution is aimed at photographers using Nikon Advanced Wireless Lighting (AWL) or Canon Wireless E-TTL and seeking to extend the operating range beyond the limitations of optical transmission. To get a fuller explanation from the horse’s mouth, click here.
