Shenzhen Skyeagle, a photographic equipment manufacturer, has introduced the PB3000 Flash Power Box, a speedlight power pack suitable for Nikon, Canon and Sony flash units.
The PB3000 contains a 3000mAh lithium battery and has two outputs: a high-voltage socket for powering flashguns and a USB port to recharge mobile devices. This is apparently a world first, and should come in handy for on-the-go photographers. It’ll speeding up the recycle times of your flashguns and also top up the charge on your phone or tablet.
According to the manufacturer, the PB3000 can bring down the recycling time of a shoe-mount flash to 1.2 seconds, with the capacity for 1,200 full power pops. There is a four-LED battery indicator on the top of the power pack so you can keep an eye on how much juice is left. The USB port and flash power connectors can be switched on and off independently, so you needn’t worry about power leaking out of the high-voltage port while you’re just recharging your mobile phone.
The Skyeagle PB3000 Flash Power Box currently retails for $118.99 from LinkDelight on eBay. The package includes a charger, protective case, carrying straps and a power cable for Nikon, Canon or Sony flashes. For more information and other distributors, contact Skyeagle at skyeaglephoto.com.
