Hobo Lighting’s latest compact light stands are stronger, cheaper and more easily repairable.

The CLS65 Pro folding stand replaces the CLS65 with a number of improvements in response to customer feedback. The new model supports more weight and replaces rivet joints with hex screws so photographers can tighten or repair the stand themselves. It also comes with a sturdier carry bag.

“The CLS65 Pro addresses all the questions being asked of the CLS65, and with an increase in weight of only 175g,” said Trevor Nelmes of Cotswold Photo, the global distributor of Hobo Lighting products. It has a “typically about £5-6 lower selling price than the CLS65,” he added.

Designed for location photographers and small flash users, the CLS65 Pro has reflex-folding legs which collapse down to 495mm for transport and storage. In use, the stand extends to a maximum height of 2.18m. It can handle lights and accessories up to 3kg in weight.
