Vibesta unveil ‘cinema-grade’ RGB LED Peragos Tube Pixel

The Peragos Tube Pixel is an animatable, colour-tunable LED light tube from €289.

Vibesta Peragos Tube

Vibesta has launched the crowdfunding campaign for their LED lighting tubes aimed at cinematographers. The Peragos Tube Pixel is not like any other RGB light, as it is divided into sections that can show up to 32 different colours at the same time. You can programme animations, and even join multiple tubes together for more complex lighting effects.

The light apparently has a television lighting consistency index (TLCI) of 92, with colour temperature control from 2,800K to 13,000K, which can be further extended to 1,500K to 30,000K. This is in addition to RGB colour tuning, through RTC wireless control.

There are five different versions in the same campaign: the Peragos Wand 40C, and Tube 60C and 120C; the Tubes are available in ‘Pixel’ variants that support the segmented colour control function. You can mount the tubes on light stands and they run on removable lithium batteries, and you can add your own V-lock batteries to extent the runtime.

On Indiegogo, perks start at €1199 for a four-light kit (initially you could get a single Wand for €199 but that’s now sold out). Visit the Peragos Tube campaign page (affiliate link) for more information.
